STORIES OF HOPE
Join with us for this special luncheon as we gather with women from all over East Texas to celebrate all that has been accomplished through CityFest and share the real reason behind the effort. As a table host, you will have the opportunity to invite your family, friends, and neighbors to hear the life-changing message of Jesus in a comfortable and inviting setting.
Don’t miss out on this time of fun, encouragement, and blessing as Dr. Sasha Vukelja and Wendy Palau share messages on this year’s theme “Stories of Hope”.

Wendy Palau shoulders a burden for the lost, born out of her own experience of living apart from Jesus Christ for the first 24 years of her own life. While born into a wonderful Christian home on the island of Jamaica, her heart wandered and sought fulfillment in all the world offers.
At 25 years of age, God mercifully revealed Himself and she experienced His radical transformation. She and her husband Andrew have since dedicated their lives since to serving churches around the world through city-wide evangelistic outreaches. Each one features a strong focus on meeting the spiritual and physical needs of the least in this world. Under Wendy's compassionate direction, mission teams join each effort; whether in Africa, Haiti, or her beautiful homeland of Jamaica. Wendy and Andrew have been married 25 years, and her primary job is raising their three children: Christopher, Jonathan, and Sadie.
DR. SASHA VUKELJA
Dr. Sasha Vukelja, an oncologist at Texas Oncology in Tyler, TX is known to her patients simply as “Dr. V.” The V stands for “Victory,” a reference to her determination to fight for her patients who are diagnosed with cancer.

Her latest book was released in 2019 and is called, Weeds Among Seeds: The Art of Paying Attention. It is an honest story of how she lost her joy in life and the surprising friends living under a bridge in her community who helped restore it.
She and her husband, Dr. Larry Anderson, have two children and reside in Tyler. Author proceeds from the sales of her books support the homeless.
